Fleurs et Vin

By Dayton Creative Syndicate

Art and design go hand-in-hand. Dayton Creative Syndicate is here to represent the graphic arts, and what better way to demonstrate this marriage than showcasing another fine pairing — flowers and wine? The annual Fleurs et Vin (which is French for “flowers and wine”) takes place Sunday, May 22, at Carillon Historical Park. This event benefits two worthy causes: AIDS Resource Center Ohio and Culture Works.  Don’t forget you can enjoy the “fruits” of this event all year long, as funds will go toward 13 local arts organizations and help those infected, affected and at risk of AIDS.

About Dayton Creative Syndicate:

Dayton Creative Syndicate (DCS) is a professional organization for creatives of all ages. Founded in March 2008, as a partner of AAF Dayton, DCS exists to help creative professionals achieve their goals through continuing education, inspiring speakers and fun networking opportunities that allow you to socialize and stay in the know with some of Dayton’s best and brightest creative minds. Managed by an executive board comprised of local creative professionals, DCS is responsible for promoting local creative events and realizing the club’s vision while serving the needs of its members. DCS representative for this project will be Public Service Coordinator (and Generation Dayton member) Artie Toth. “I’m very grateful for the creative community who contributed to this installation,” Toth says. “In particular, to Insignia Signs, who provided us with these fantastic graphic clings, and Jim Crotty, who contributed his beautiful artwork. It’s folks like these who fuel the creative spirit in Dayton that is helping shape our community into a regional leader.”
