the bearded barber

Hicks discovered a knack for cutting hair while serving on U.S. Navy vessels. There are barber shops on Navy ships, but no actual barbers. Hicks left a $45,000-a-year job as dock worker for Coca Cola to open his own barber shop in October 2013, and he hasn’t looked back. Hicks says he doesn’t have a certain type of customer. Naturally, he can give you a Marine-style cut. He doesn’t color or wash hair, but beyond that, he serves women and can handle all kinds of styles. And if you’re a man who requires beard care, Hicks knows his stuff.

"I would have never have guessed that this business would have taken off as it has."
